Merchant Navy entrance exam:
All India Merchant Navy Entrance Test (IMU-CET Online Test is conducted twice a year i.e NOVEMBER/DECEMBER & JUNE/JULY All over India.) This all India entrance is conducted for joining Merchant Navy Course in DG SHIPPING (GOVT. OF INDIA) Approved Colleges.

B.Tech NAVAL ARCHITECURE & SHIP BUILDING (4 years)
Qualification -Pass HSC OR 10+2 from a recognised board with 50% average in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) Maximum age-25 years.

B.Tech – MARINE ENGINEERING
Qualification -Pass HSC OR 10+2 from a recognised with 60% average in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Maximum age-25 years

B.Sc NAUTICAL SCIENCE
Qualification -Pass HSC OR 10+2 from a recognised with 60% average in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Maximum age-25 years

PRE-SEA TRAINING G.P. RATINGS
Qualification – 10th pass with total average of 40% marks (with Mathematics & Science) OR Has Passed in Govt. approved 2 years ITI course from recoganised institute with 50% minimum aggregate marks. 40% marks in English subject shall required in 10th or 12th OR any Degree OR Diploma course approved by AICTE. Maximum age- 25 years.

About Indian Maritime University IMU-CET …

IMU-CET is common entrance exam conducted all over India, for admission into various Marine courses like

  • Deck Cadet Course,
  • DNS Leading To Bsc Nautical Science
  • Bsc.Nautical Science,
  • B.E Marine Engineering
  • Naval Artitecture
  • G.P Rating

Candidates want to get admission for any of these courses, have to appear and qualify IMU CET AUG 2021 Exam. For coming AUG Batch CET will be held in month of May-June 2021.
The Common Entrance Examination shall have 200 objective type multiple choice questions each carrying one mark distributed in five subjects which are to be attempted in 3 hours duration.

These five subjects are as follows:

  • English 40 questions
  • General Aptitude 40 questions
  • Mathematics 50 questions
  • Physics 50 questions
  • Chemistry 20 questions
